Association of Materials Protection and Performance

Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) is a not-for-profit member-driven professional association comprised of a diverse, global community of professionals dedicated to materials protection through the advancement of corrosion control and protective coatings. AMPP is active in more than 130 countries, has provided over 80,000 certifications, and has more than 40,000 members.

AMPP was created when NACE International and SSPC (Society for Protective Coatings) merged in 2021 and is the largest global community for corrosion and coating expertise. Our mission is to protect society, assets, and the environment with a focus on a world built and protected with safe, reliable, and sustainable material. We protect infrastructure and assets worldwide through member and workforce education and credentialing, company accreditation, technological innovation and global standardization.

AMPP is headquartered in the US with offices in Houston, TX and Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Additional offices are in the U.K., China, Malaysia, Brazil, India, and Saudi Arabia with a training center in Dubai.
