Centro de Asistencia al Migrante Urbano y Rural (CAMUR)

CAMUR (the “Centro de Asistencia al Migrante Urbano y Rural”) is a nonprofit immigrant legal services organization dedicated to providing assistance to people throughout the U.S., including in rural and other underserved areas. At CAMUR, our mission is to provide compassionate, welcoming immigration legal services to our clients, upholding human rights and promoting dignity for all individuals seeking assistance in navigating the complex U.S. immigration system.

CAMUR believes that all people deserve to live in safety and dignity, regardless of who they are, who they love, or where they were born. The purpose of CAMUR is to help the population we serve find liberty of movement and safety from detention, removal, or separation from their families. We are honored to be of service to our client community and strive to create a safe environment for our clients to share their experiences.

We believe that we are all interconnected and we are only safe when all of us are safe. We acknowledge that all of us including our clients are impacted by ongoing overlapping issues including climate change, colonization, militarization, violence, and global conflict. CAMUR supports justice for workers, families, and the environment.

CAMUR strives to be a part of creating a world that is freer, more just, and more inclusive. Immigration cases involve issues of safety, belonging, and family unity.
