FAIR RIVER INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR DEVELOPMENT - (FARIAD)

Fair River International Association for Development (FARIAD) is a farmer-focused organization that supports the production of commodities in rural areas through the provision of technical training, agricultural advisory services, and farmer-base association support. Focused on marginalized and vulnerable groups, FARIAD aims to reduce hunger and poverty.  To this end, FARIAD works with community and local government structures to provide training and services on agriculture and food security, primary health care, economic development, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), good governance, human rights, Environmental Preservation, Science, Technology and Innovation

Fair River International Association for Development (FARIAD) is an indigenous, private, voluntary, Non-profit, non-governmental Organization established in Ghana, West Africa 1998 it is legally incorporated in May 2002 as an NGO to undertake a wide range of social and economic development activities aimed at alleviating hardship and vulnerability among marginalized and disadvantaged groups, in the areas of concern towards positive emancipation. The Association is fully recognized by the Government of Ghana; and is an active member of the Ghana National Association of Private Voluntary Organisations in Development (GAPVOD); a member of Ghana HIV Aids Network (GHANET); member of the Coalition of NGOs in Ghana (COVOG), member of Ghana Coalition of NGOs in Health (Northern Region), Agroecology Coalition (AE) and other well-coordinated networks, both local and international.
