The Becky Lee Women's Support Fund ("Becky's Fund") is a 501(c)(3) organization located in Washington, D.C. that was founded in November 2006 by Becky Lee, an advocate and attorney for battered women's rights.
Becky's Fund seeks to help end and prevent domestic and dating violence in our communities and assist victims by:
1) Raising awareness about the facts of domestic violence, including how prevalent it is in our communities, why battered women can't always leave easily, and what can be done to fight it;
2) Encouraging advocacy by organizing and mobilizing people, particularly students, to address domestic violence issues;
3) Assisting victims by linking them to appropriate services such as legal representation, counseling, and safety;
4) Raising funds to provide financial assistance to support victims of domestic violence.
