Hilltop Nursery School

Hilltop Nursery School, Inc. ("Hilltop") is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), parent-cooperative child and family development center located in the Silver Lake/Echo Park area of Los Angeles. Since its inception in 1951, Hilltop's mission has been to provide affordable, high-quality child care and familial support to the ethnically and economically diverse community of northeastern Los Angeles.

Hilltop's goal is not only to help our students grow and learn, but also to be a force for good in our community. We accomplish this by involving parents in their children's education, supporting students' families, and most importantly, making our program available to all members of our community, regardless of their capacity to pay full tuition. Hilltop strives to ensure that at least 25% of our students are in the under-served poverty-level to moderate-income range, and we subsidize their education with extensive fundraising in order to create scholarships.
