    Understanding Disabilities

We believe families know their children best, that youth thrive in environments with their peers and that everyone deserves a place in the community to live, learn and grow.

At UCP, we are sought after for our unique family support services. We provide our expertise and knowledge in providing direct support to infants and toddlers with developmental delays, and to children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injuries.

    Creating Opportunities

We strive to serve families and individuals by:

    • offering support and education to parents of children from birth to age three, an exceptional time of growth in a child's development and relationships.
    • supporting child care professionals to fully include children with varying abilities in their programs.
    • providing afterschool and summer services for teens with specials needs.
    • supplying vital relief to parents or other primary caregivers through our respite program.
    • recommending advocacy and resources throughout the community.
    • assisting adults with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries in achieving independent, productive and rewarding lives as active members of the community.

    Promoting Community

We strive to create a community in which all are able to participate. We weave our services into community life and offer support in family homes, child care settings, and after school programs.

By participating in collaborative partnerships with other non-profits, volunteers and corporate sponsors, we are able to dedicate over 90% of our agency budget to direct, local services.

Together we are building the future.
