CaringMatters

Our mission is to provide social supports and community education so that no one dies or grieves alone.

Founded in 1989 and based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, CaringMatters serves all of Montgomery County. We provide compassionate support services for people facing serious illnesses, end-of-life, caregiving challenges, loss, and grief. Most direct services are delivered by a large team of dedicated, trained volunteers and provided free of charge. CaringMatters has a $1.4 million budget and a team of 14 staff members and hundreds of volunteers. We are committed to making a meaningful impact for everyone we serve.
