The Los Angeles County Medical Association (LACMA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(6) professional association of dedicated physicians committed to advocating for quality healthcare for all patients and supporting the professional needs of physicians across Los Angeles County. For more than 150 years, LACMA has served as a trusted voice for physicians and a champion for policies and practices that strengthen patient care, public health, and the healthcare delivery system.

Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, LACMA brings physicians together across specialties and practice settings to address the most pressing challenges facing healthcare today. The association works to reduce barriers to care, advance physician-led solutions, and foster collaboration that improves health outcomes for the diverse communities of Los Angeles County.

Through dual LACMA and the California Medical Association (CMA) membership, the organization amplifies physician advocacy at both the local and state levels while providing practical resources, leadership development, and a professional community that supports physicians throughout their careers. By strengthening the physician workforce and elevating the physician voice, LACMA helps ensure that patients across Los Angeles County receive high-quality, accessible, and equitable care.
