Clown project

The mission of Payasos Humanitarios, a program carried out by Clown Project, is to accompany people facing vulnerable situations by bringing humanity, hope, and dignity through laughter, emotional support, and meaningful humanitarian actions.

Through this program, we intervene in hospitals, shelters, vulnerable communities, nursing homes, and other spaces where pain or hardship are part of daily life. By using laughter therapy, combined with medical and dental outreach initiatives and child nutrition support programs, we work to transform these environments into more humane spaces where people feel supported, heard, and valued.

Clown Project, a nonprofit organization registered as a 501(c)(3) in the United States, leads and supports the Payasos Humanitarios program by coordinating its institutional structure, fundraising efforts, and international development.

At its core, our work seeks to demonstrate that even in the most difficult moments, laughter can also heal.

Our work is based on the belief that laughter can be a powerful tool for human connection and emotional healing. Through trained volunteers known as Humanitarian Clowns, we visit hospitals, shelters, vulnerable communities, nursing homes, and social centers to accompany people who are facing difficult moments in life.

Beyond emotional support, our initiatives also include practical humanitarian programs designed to address real community needs. Among our main programs are:

Cuidando Sonrisas – A community medical and dental outreach initiative that provides healthcare services in underserved areas while integrating laughter therapy to reduce fear and anxiety among children.

Nutriendo Vidas – A nutrition support program that delivers food assistance, nutritional supplements, and infant formula to children and families facing food insecurity.

Proyecto Marbella – A program focused on providing emotional accompaniment to individuals facing serious or delicate health conditions, offering respectful and compassionate visits in homes or hospitals.

Through these programs, Payasos Humanitarios combines emotional care with concrete humanitarian action, helping to restore dignity and hope in communities that need it most.

Today, the program operates across Latin America, with active initiatives in countries such as Ecuador, Mexico, and Venezuela, coordinated through our administrative headquarters in Miami, United States

Over the past five years, our network of volunteers and partners has reached more than 84,000 beneficiaries
