DEAF, Inc.

Founded in 1977 by leaders of state and national Deaf organizations, DEAF, Inc. is the only MA nonprofit run by and for people who are Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened. We inspire people to achieve personal and professional goals through accessible programs and services, and build bridges across communities by increasing communication access and awareness.

DEAF, Inc. programs respond to the linguistic and cultural needs of the diverse Deaf community and provide links to agencies and individuals who can offer resources and direction. Underlying all our programs is our commitment to reach out to and serve the most isolated and underserved members of the community. We offer health literacy, access and support services; educational programs; independent living services, referrals, and advocacy; and community access services designed by and for Deaf people. DEAF, Inc.'s services enable Deaf people to develop and maintain behaviors to improve their health and the health of their families, realize economic and personal independence, and become fully-participating members of the larger community through education, employment, and community and political involvement.
