Our Key Initiatives

1. Unami NCIP | National Child Identification Program

In partnership with Rehab Abroad, we are introducing the National Child Identification Program (NCIP) to schools and communities in Newcastle townships. This initiative aims to prevent human trafficking and missing children cases by providing identification kits that help parents and authorities respond swiftly in emergencies.

1. Unami Schools | Digital Access for Public High Schools

We sponsor and build websites for public high schools in Madadeni, enhancing digital communication and opportunities. By equipping schools with an online presence, we help them engage with corporate partners, showcase achievements, and secure sponsorships for better educational resources.

1. Unami Timber | A Social Enterprise for Sustainable Growth

Unami Timber, a social enterprise under Unami Foundation NPC, is establishing a state-of-the-art timber treatment plant using Tanalith C or A treatment technology. Our goal is to:

• Improve timber durability and sustainability
• Create jobs in Majuba district
• Support South Africa’s timber industry

This initiative is more than a business—it’s a step toward economic empowerment and environmental responsibility.

1. Unami Drones | Empowering Youth Through Technology

South Africa faces high youth unemployment and gender gaps in tech industries. Our Drone Technology Training Program equips unemployed matriculants (male and female) with specialized skills in drone operation, opening doors to employment and entrepreneurship in a growing industry.

1. Unami Advocacy | Awareness Campaigns

We run impactful campaigns to address critical social issues:

• Substance Abuse Awareness (in partnership with Rehab Abroad) – Educating high school learners on addiction risks.
• Human Trafficking Prevention (through NCIP) – Providing child ID kits to enhance safety.
