CivicStory is a nonprofit news site that produces multimedia content about ecology, civics, and creative change in New Jersey and beyond. Our mission is two-pronged: to advance solutions-based news about restoring natural ecosystems and strengthening our democracy, and to foster awareness of the essential role of news in empowering citizens.

Core Program
In 2019, CivicStory launched the NJ Sustainability Reporting fellowship to help accelerate New Jersey’s shift toward environmental sustainability. Over 234 ecology-civics stories co-published with 25 New Jersey newsrooms are viewable at https://SRhub.org.
