The Formosa Foundation is a non-profit organization based inLos Angeles, and dedicates itself to the advancement of human rights, democracy, and the right to self-determination ofTaiwan. The Formosa Foundation is committed to strengthening the ties between the two countries in order to create lasting and mutually beneficial relationships that protect the vital interests of both theUnited StatesandTaiwan.

Since its founding in 2001, the Formosa Foundation has set out to encourage the development of new dialogues, ideas, informed attitudes and policy options which will better safeguard the vital interests that theUnited StatesandTaiwanshare. The Formosa Foundation supports peace, freedom and vibrant regional and global economic and cultural relations that are the foundation for long-term stability inEast Asia.
