Raízes Cunha

Focused on AgroEcology and assuming our role in implementing a culture system of protecting, cooperating and benefiting from a healthy environment, we develop a series of programs which range from reforesting the Atlantic Rainforest to growing and producing quality food amongst the population where we are inserted.

We operate in what used to be a wasteland where cattle was raised (a still common practice in the municipality we are). After 15 years of labour, in partnerships with local people and institutions like SerrAcima, BioCunha and WWF we managed to create abundance of life where local species thrive.

And that's just the begining.

Now we look forward to expanding the work and knowledge we have built through receiving volunteers who wish to experience a deeper connection with nature and feel like learning agricultural and ecological systems which can contribute with the global network fighting for life.

Portuguese, English and Italian are spoken in our small community.
