Adams County Education Consortium (ACEC) is a Colorado nonprofit founded in 2005 to bridge the long-standing gap between the needs of business and the education of students, broadly defined to include academic skills, career exploration, and work readiness. Working in partnership with Adams County school districts, higher education institutions, and other strategic partners, ACEC is building a model for workforce development that engages and integrates schools, businesses and higher education in career awareness, exploration and training programs. The organization’s primary goal is to increase the overall post-secondary enrollment and completion rate for Adams County students in 4-year, 2-year, certificate and technical training programs and better prepare them for careers that pay a self-sustaining wage.
