Parks Place Community Resource Center

Parks Place is a grassroots community center dedicated to providing the information, education and resources to strengthen lives. We address the challenge of poverty in our community by providing a respectful, comfortable and welcoming space in which people can access health, education and social service programs. We also serve as a hub for collaboration and organizing around community issues.

Parks Place is a one-stop-shop for resources, where 35 state and non-profit agencies outpost their staff to provide accessible service. Volunteers play a large role in the daily operations which take place in a two-family convertd home with a renovated garage called "The Carriage House." This homelike space offers small and large meeting rooms where residents of all ages can meet with a case manager, counselor, tutor, or for AA meetings, a community garden organizing session or to get an application for benefits.

Called, " the community's home," by some, Parks Place is a thriving organization providing building blocks to a better future.
