Cancer Support Community of Southern Connecticut

  • Acerca de

The Cancer Support Community of Southern Connecticut (CSC-SCT) is an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community – an international network of independently chartered nonprofits that provide professional programs of emotional support, education and hope for people affected by cancer at no charge so that no one faces cancer alone.

The Cancer Support Community was formed by the unification of The Wellness Community and Gilda’s Club, and CSC-SCT is proud to be building the first facility of its kind in Connecticut, serving Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London Counties – as well as anyone else touched by cancer who wishes to take advantage of our facility (when we open).

Our robust program of psychosocial support is open free of charge to those with a cancer diagnosis as well as their family, friends, caregivers and loved ones, and includes activities in five core areas – Support, Education, Wellbeing, Social, and Information/Referrals.

Opening our doors means adding unique and important options in our region for those affected by cancer, most importantly creating a warm, homelike setting that will house our support groups, educational programs, yoga classes, parties, resource library (and so much more) as well as become a drop-in facility where members can spend time with other members, sharing the full spectrum of feelings that come from living with cancer. We need your help to open our doors…to learn more about us
