    Acerca de

Alder Creek Community Forest (ACCF) is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit. ACCF was founded over 20 years ago on the Proctor Memorial Forest in southern Douglas County, Oregon. We have hosted countless school groups and community members seeking a safe, high quality outdoor learning experience.

The challenges facing forests of southern Oregon have changed over these 20 years. Now, wildfire and drought-induced tree mortality are among the most visible threats. We need communities and a workforce who are prepared to address these recent challenges, so that our beautiful forested communities remain healthy and vibrant.

ACCF is responding via forest education and job training opportunities on its 80 acre site near Canyonville, with convenient freeway access and parking, meeting and camping facilities, and 3.5 miles of signed trails. Our current priority is to help build fire-resilient communities via forest workforce development, K-12 and public education, and diverse partner collaboration.
