  • Misión

The Conservation Alliance is a partnership of land managers, scientists, scholars, educators, and conservation-based non-profit organizations committed to the community engagement in the study, restoration, and promotion of the mountain park preserves in and around the Phoenix metro area.

    Acerca de

Lead by Desert Botanical Garden, the Conservation Alliance seeks to foster civic engagement in protecting and sustaining both the ecological and the recreational aspects of our community's mountain park preserves.

The Phoenix metropolitan area is home to one of the largest preserve systems in the world. Over time, the preserve systems throughout the city and county have grown to encompass 163,000 acres, a larger protected area than is found in any other metropolitan region.

However, park boundaries alone do not guarantee conservation of these areas in perpetuity, the protection of their native flora and fauna, nor the maintenance of these areas as compelling attractions for visitors. The Conservation Alliance believes that by working together we can build on the accomplishments of our predecessors and our own organizations to create a model for sustaining our park preserves well into the future.

We have inherited a legacy of protected desert landscapes, and our intent is to pass on this legacy, in even finer condition, to future generations.
