The Athens Area Diaper Bank strives to eradicate diaper need by providing diapers to low-income families in the Athens area, while raising public awareness of diaper need and its impact.

The mission of Athens Area Diaper Bank (AADB) is to eradicate diaper need by providing diapers to low-income families, while raising public awareness of diaper need and its impact. We serve families in the Athens area (Bogart, Clarke, Jackson, Madison, Oconee, and Oglethorpe counties) through strategic community partnerships with other nonprofits, churches, schools, shelters, and government agencies. Our diapers get distributed to infants and toddlers of families experiencing a variety of circumstances, including homelessness, domestic violence recovery, medical or financial emergencies, and generational poverty. Since our inception in 2015, we have provided over 2.2 million diapers to more than 51,000 children. In 2023 alone, we distributed 648,139 diapers to support 13,612 children. We expect to increase our capacity in 2024 and 2025 by at least 15%.
