Neighbors Helping Neighbors on the Main Line

Neighbors Helping Neighbors on the Main Line (NHN) is a nonprofit organization that serves as a continual source of support to some of the most vulnerable residents in Lower Merion Township and the immediate vicinity. NHN is made up of local volunteers, who are dedicated to creating racial equity and unity within our community. Our vision is to unite the Pennsylvania Main Line community through healing and uplift individuals experiencing poverty. NHN serves as a continual source of support to the most vulnerable residents in our region. NHN was founded in 2020 as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic with the objective of providing support to families in need in Lower Merion Township and the greater Philadelphia region, through programming in four areas: Educational Empowerment, Food Security, Advocacy, Resource Connection. While we formed as a response to the need highlighted by the pandemic, it has become clear that economic and racial disparities will not go away without appropriate community-based interventions. We believe the combined efforts of neighbors will lead to the success and well-being of our entire community.
