Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals (EP) is one of the largest continuing engineering education schools in the United States offering engineering and applied science graduate programs in more than 15 disciplines. Classes are held weekday evenings and online to accommodate the schedules of our working professionals. With EP, professional engineers and applied scientists can find exactly the program that meets their career goals, then get the cutting-edge skills and knowledge they need—when and where their working life demands.

High caliber education. EP is the part-time, continuing engineering education arm of Hopkins' Whiting School of Engineering, consistently ranked among the top engineering schools and programs in the country. When students complete their program, they receive a prestigious Johns Hopkins University master's degree or graduate certificate.

Wide range of programs. EP offers more than 450 courses in 20 master's degree and certificate programs, all designed and scheduled for working students. Master's degree and certificate programs range from computer science, mechanical engineering, and electrical and computer engineering to technical management and systems engineering—two programs pioneered by Johns Hopkins' own Applied Physics Laboratory.

Flexible schedules. Eleven of EP's master's degrees can now be completed online. However, for those who prefer, EP's on-site courses are scheduled to accommodate working students' busy lives and are taught at locations across the greater Baltimore-Washington, DC area, near where students live or work. Locations are conveniently located in Aberdeen, Baltimore, Elkridge, Laurel, Rockville, and Southern Maryland, as well as in Washington, DC and Crystal City, VA.

Faculty and students. EP's faculty includes top engineers and applied scientists at private corporations, instructors who have written authoritative books in their field, and professionals from Hopkins' renowned Applied Physics Laboratory. The more than 2,000 students that EP educates each year already are accomplished in their jobs and working to achieve more, motivating each other as they do. EP really is a community where excellence surrounds you!

Continuing engineering education at Hopkins. Johns Hopkins has a 100-year tradition of providing evening education for the technical workforce. Technical fields have changed dramatically through the decades, but Hopkins' commitment to helping professionals become more expert and successful continues—stronger than ever—as EP.
