    Creating #VotersForLife

The New North Carolina Project’s mission is to make politics represent the needs of North Carolinians by investing in communities of color, expanding the engaged electorate and creating #VotersForLife.

    A More Equitable North Carolina

We are uniquely designed to power NC’s ground game through targeted community ambassador programs, innovative data validity, strong partner relationships, deep canvassing, and a coordinated, state-wide field program.

Even in 2020, with record high turnout, large fractions of eligible voters of all races and ethnicities did not vote, including more than half of eligible Latinx and Indigenous voters, more than forty percent of eligible AAPI voters, and a third of eligible Black voters. In fact, nearly one million eligible voters of color did not vote in 2020.

    A New North Carolina

Registering voters is one thing; NC must work to overcome the transactional nature of most political interactions that take place only during election years and seek to understand what communities need from politics instead of the other way around. NNCP does more than bring voters to the polls - we seek to cultivate a legacy of political participants who will volunteer, canvass and run for office. Through our partnerships and with the groundbreaking digital effort of our unique BlockPower Ambassador program, NNCP is structured to provide communities of color with health, wealth and power. NNCP will also create a highly talented, competent and trained workforce capable of deploying to political races throughout North Carolina and beyond.
