Florida A&M University Farmer-to-Farmer Program

Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) is a historically black land-grant university dedicated to stimulating economic growth in emerging and developing world markets. FAMU takes a multifaceted approach to promoting rural development in developing countries, training farmers and members of farmer organizations at the grass roots level, promoting entrepreneurial and small business enterprise development, and fostering environmental and natural resource conservation. Housed in the Office of International Agriculture Programs, the FAMU Farmer-to-Farmer (FtF) program is dedicated to working with emergent commercial farmers in South Africa and the Caribbean to increase farm production and farmer incomes, strengthen cooperatives and other agricultural groups and to improve agricultural and agribusiness operations.
