The mission of Cape Fear Community Land Trust is sustaining vibrant, diverse communities by creating housing opportunities for working families. Our vision is a Cape Fear region filled with vibrant, holistic, and economically diverse communities – with no barriers to quality, affordable housing, so that all citizens have a choice of where to live, work, and play. Our major strategy is to hold land in trust so that the land cost of a property can be removed from the purchase or rental price. Our 99-year renewable ground lease assures that our properties stay affordable for generations to come, while reducing the cost to our homeowner, renter, or business partner. Our target population includes people whose income falls within 25 and 120 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI). We are equipped to serve New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender Counties, and will not rest until our vision becomes a reality!
