In 2010, a sibling who saw a vital need in society, founded SEEDs For Autism, a Phoenix based 501c3 agency working to change the lives of those impacted with autism.
The program has worked with over 250 young adults and has over 11 areas of study and training, largely centered around running the non-profit as a business through high quality home and garden products that students learn to make. Students are involved in every aspect of the business including: product development, customer service, distribution, shipping, marketing, social media and producing a monthly newsletter. To help offset costs, and to create a community partnership effort, we rely heavily on volunteers from the community. We currently have more than 45 regular students and need adult volunteers to assist or teach in our weaving, ceramics, soapmaking, and metal departments (welding and using the forge), as well as youth volunteers to help with our summer camp programs. https://www.seedsforautism.org/https://www.facebook.com/SEEDSforAutism/
