Charistay

Charistay is a social enterprise and online travel community that supports and promotes independently-run, sustainable accommodations that have as their core mission the support and enhancement of the local environment and community. In order to support this work and continue to educate and encourage the sustainable traveller, we have dedicated our efforts to not only building a brand that assists and supports these businesses, but also one that gives back over 10% of its total revenue (approximately 65% profit) to help fund local charitable groups that support local environmental, wildlife or community causes. All other funds are reinvested in the enterprise to help us expand our offerings to help as many independent, sustainable businesses as possible.

We help by partnering these lodgings with a small charitable organisation based in their locale. Through this partnership, every time a booking request is accepted by the hotel via our site, we use part of our service fee to provide funding for these groups.
