The Massachusetts Coalition for Healthy Communities (MCHC) informs and empowers Massachusetts residents to defend and strengthen the social, economic, environmental, and democratic foundations of healthy communities. We work with a diverse array of public interest groups and individuals who are advancing community-led solutions to the converging social, economic, and ecological crises. We call for urgent transformative action at the personal and policy levels to turn these multifaceted crises into a bridge to a sustainable, just future for all of us. We monitor government and legislative initiatives and conduct research into key issues of public policy and health. We advocate a holistic approach to community health that combines preventive health and universal health care with social and economic justice, good jobs, education, a clean environment and genuine people-powered democracy.
