Maxwell's Toy Box was founded by Dina Besic, inspired by her son Max's battle with leukemia. Seeing the joy toys brought to Max, Dina created Maxwell's Toy Box to bring smiles to children facing serious illnesses.
Goals: We provide emotional support to children undergoing cancer treatment by distributing toys and care packages. Our aims are to brighten patients' days, support families, and raise awareness about childhood cancer.
Programs:
Maxwell’s Toy Box has donated 1,545 toys, 250 Valentine’s Day goodie bags, 51 gift cards, 86 board games, and helped over 500 children, partnering with 1 hospital.
3-Year Plan: Increase toy donations to 3,000 per hospital per year. Expand support to Advocate Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL, and rural areas. Launch Adopt-a-Family Toy Program.
We are dedicated to expanding our impact with the help of passionate volunteers.
