Amigos de las Americas: New York City Chapter

Amigos de las Américas is an international, volunteer-based, non-profit organization that builds partnerships to empower young leaders, advance community development, and strengthen multi-cultural understanding in the Americas.

Volunteers typically spend 4-8 weeks in the summer in Central and South America working with local communities on public health initiatives.

The NYC Chapter is one of 26 nationwide chapters of AMIGOS. Each fall, we invite qualified high school and college students, 16 years and older, to join our training program. We prepare students for full-immersion cultural exchange and community service projects in Latin America. We seek to inspire and build young leaders through collaborative community development and immersion in cross-cultural experiences.
