As a tuition-free K-8 public Waldorf school, we embrace the wonder of childhood, engaging children in inward reflection and outward curiosity. Based on the hundred-year-old Waldorf approach, Peace Valley provides an innovative and creative method for delivering the Idaho Content Standards to students in the Treasure Valley.
Peace Valley aims to bring forth healthy, confident, free-thinking, and self-directed children who are passionately engaged with education. They are empowered to contribute responsibly to the world and to appreciate the importance of peace, respect, and compassion.
Peace Valley integrates academics, arts, movement, nature, and social responsibility into everyday learning. We use Waldorf methods and curriculum to immerse children in the arts and an environment that nurtures their emerging capacities at each age. Our holistic focus is on the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our community of students, staff, and parents.
Children will learn reading and writing, mathematics, history, geography, and the sciences while learning to sing, play a musical instrument, draw, paint, act in plays, and garden. They will learn fiber arts (such as knitting and sewing), Spanish language, and enjoy moving through Eurythmy and Movement classes. Peace Valley strives for students to think critically and independently and to work harmoniously and respectfully with others.
