Our mission is to engage the broader community both in feeding the hungry and empowering the poor to move beyond the barriers of poverty with dignity. In short, "feeding the hungry, changing lives." We operate several food-related programs including Kansas City Community Kitchen, a "soup kitchen" that operates like a restaurant, a culinary training program for the chronically unemployed, and a network of pantries and partner organizations that work together to challenge the systems that keep people in poverty.
