The Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center is a non-profit health facility whose mission is to provide the highest quality professional and compassionate care to all individuals (both children and adults) with hearing, speech and/or language disorders in the Northeast Florida area. The Center has been serving the greater Jacksonville community since 1949, is conveniently located in downtown Jacksonville with its own parking lot, and is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Volunteers are needed to assist staff throughout the year with conducting free hearing screenings at various community and corporate health/wellness fairs, governmental offices, various civic/service/professional organizations, and at private schools. Some training and orientation is provided.
