Acerca de
George Junior Republic in Pennsylvania (GJR in PA), founded in 1909, offers a continuum of residential programs and services for at-risk youth ages 8-18 and adults ages 18 and older.
GJR in PA has contracted with Cornell University to implement the Children and Residential Experiences (CARE) program, a promising research evidence-based model established by the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (CEBC). The program is designed to motivate children and staff to adhere to routines, structures, and processes while minimizing the potential for interpersonal conflict.
GJR in PA is an accredited CARF International program and is designated as a Pennsylvania specialized setting facility.
GJR also provides community-based services throughout PA and OH through George Junior Republic Preventative Aftercare (PAC) and throughout Indiana as George Junior Republic in Indiana.
