Helathy Start Coalition of Southwest Florida

Healthy Start is a not-for-profit 501(C)(3) organization serving Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee Counties since 1992. Healthy Start has been serving moms and babies since 1992. Our goals are to: •Reduce the number of infant deaths •Reduce the number of premature or low birth weight babies •Improve health and developmental outcomes for young children

We help ensure moms and babies have access to needed medical care and other community services to help give their baby a Healthy Start in life. Last year, Healthy Start serviced more than 18,000 pregnant women, babies and young children up to age three who were at higher risk for poor health outcomes.

Who Can Receive Services? If you are pregnant, or have a child less than three years of age, you may be eligible for Healthy Start services. You can be rich or poor, teen or an adult. You can receive services if it is determined that you or your baby needs extra help.
