Mentor A Promise (MAP) is a New York City–based nonprofit serving children and youth ages 5–18 experiencing housing instability through mentorship, education, social-emotional learning (SEL), creative expression, and community-based programs. MAP engages in responsible advocacy to improve systems impacting children and families while ensuring compliance with nonprofit and lobbying regulations.
About the Advocacy Communications Team
The Advocacy Communications Team ensures that MAP’s policy and advocacy messaging is clear, ethical, and aligned with organizational priorities. The team supports policy initiatives, public campaigns, and stakeholder engagement while maintaining compliance and protecting public trust.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Advocacy Communications Coordinator to support the development and alignment of advocacy messaging across policy initiatives and public communications. This role helps ensure external communications reflect MAP’s advocacy goals while remaining accurate, compliant, and respectful.
The Advocacy Communications Coordinator works closely with advocacy, communications, and legal teams to prepare, review, and maintain messaging standards.
