Do you enjoy staying organized and seeing your work directly improve someone’s quality of life? Join Assist ME, a Charlotte nonprofit that provides gently used medical equipment to low-income and uninsured patients, as an Order Fulfillment Assistant.
Each time you volunteer, you'll turn requests into real help. You’ll:
Visit our medical equipment storage room at Atrium Myers Park Clinic.
Unlock and gather the requested items (such as wheelchairs, walkers, and shower chairs).
Scan each piece using the Assist ME phone and label it for the patient waiting to receive it.
Move completed orders to the Equipment Pickup Room.
Call patients or their case managers to let them know their equipment is ready.
Volunteers typically prepare about eight orders per shift. This role is perfect for detail-oriented individuals who like meaningful, behind-the-scenes work that keeps a nonprofit running smoothly.
Join our team and help deliver independence, one piece of equipment at a time!
