Make a Difference: Become a Mentoring Program Support Volunteer!

As a Mentoring Program Support Volunteer for StandUp for Kids, you'll play a vital role in supporting our mentoring program at local schools for homeless and at-risk youth, working alongside the Atlanta Mentoring Coordinator in high schools in Fulton County. Your commitment helps us create a welcoming and supportive environment where youth feel seen, valued, and empowered.

What You'll Do:

• Greet and sign in students and mentors as they arrive, setting a positive tone for each session.
• Provide positive engagement and supervision for students, ensuring a safe and fun atmosphere while they await their mentors.
• Assist with the setup and cleanup of the mentoring space, helping to create an organized and inviting environment.
• Help foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere where every young person feels comfortable and supported.
• Support the Mentoring Coordinator in facilitating smooth and effective mentoring sessions.

Who We're Looking For:

• Someone friendly, dependable, and genuinely enjoys working with youth.
• An individual comfortable in a school environment. Former teachers, youth leaders, room moms or dads, camp counselors.
• A volunteer who can commit to volunteering twice a month during mentoring hours.
• Someone open to learning and collaborating with the StandUp for Kids team.
