Host a Walk + Connect Event in your Area!

Do you enjoy walking, being outdoors, and bringing people together? We’re looking for community-minded volunteers to host monthly Walk + Connect events in their local area.

Walk + Connect is a simple, welcoming way for neighbors to meet, chat, and build stronger local connections. No speeches, no programming, just a relaxed walk and conversations.

What you’ll do

• Host a monthly walk in your neighborhood
• Choose a safe, accessible route (easy parking or public access)
• Help create an environment that’s welcoming to all ages, genders, and backgrounds
• Pet-friendly routes are a big plus, when possible

What this is (and isn’t)

• This is not a hike, workout, or networking event
• It’s a casual, low-pressure walk where people can show up, stroll, and chit-chat
• No special expertise required, just consistency and care for your community

Why this matters

Many people want more local connection but don’t know where to start. These walks make it easy to step outside, meet neighbors, and feel a little more rooted where they live. Your role helps make communities feel more human, friendly, and connected.

Time commitment

• About 1–2 hours per month
• Very low preparation work, we provide guidance and support
