FunGIS Metal Removal Project — Adult Project Advisor
Descripción
Descripción
Make the careful work safe so a young leader can run it.
The Adult Project Advisor for the FunGIS Metal Removal Project mentors the Youth Project Lead, coordinates safety and logistics, helps plan workdays, and supports the practical details — sampling and lab coordination, site access, and safe handling of sediment samples. The youth lead leads the crew; you advise and back them up rather than taking the project over.
A background check and youth-protection training are required before working with youth. The Green Crew is a youth-led science-based environmental leadership and conservation service program, and a proud program of the Minnesota Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. Field work builds on the Green Crew's Sunday project days (12:00–4:00 PM), plus a few planning hours a month.
