Girls on the Run Board of Directors Opportunity

Girls on the Run serving Maricopa and Pinal Counties has served more than 19,000 local girls and their families in the last 21 years, and we look forward to serving many more.

Our Board of Directors is seeking new members who will use their time, talents, and resources to help us continue growing our Girls on the Run programs and impact. The team is looking for interested candidates with passion, broad networks, diverse skills and backgrounds and a commitment to the sustainable operation of the organization.

Board Members affect strategy, program growth, fundraising, outreach and sustainability, and expectations for members include:

Attendance: At Board meetings (8 per year), a new member orientation in January, the annual Girls on the Run 5K in April and Limitless Potential Brunch in September

Fundraising: Generate a minimum of $2,500 annually through sponsorships, individual donor cultivation, peer-to-peer fundraising, or other council campaigns; sell/purchase at least 10 tickets to the Limitless Potential Brunch; and make a personal “stretch” gift. *Girls on the Run provides substantial support and many different tools and opportunities to help members meet this commitment.

Board members are also encouraged to complete some outreach and fundraising work outside of meetings and may elect to serve on sub-committees based on their interests. Board terms last three years.
