Civilians! Join This Navy Ship!

The USS MIDWAY Museum, the most visited aircraft carrier museum in the US, has numerous opportunities for volunteers to serve the San Diego community, particularly in our museum's Safety and Docent (tour guide) Departments. A six-month commitment is requested for participation in any of our volunteer categories.

Volunteering at the USS Midway Museum has a tremendous impact on the community and it's a great chance to meet and work with amazing people!

Applicants are invited to an open house that details each department's requirements and lists the generous perks and awards provided to active volunteers. One example is that volunteers who reach 1,000 hours of volunteer service are awarded an authentic leather flight jacket. Training is provided for all positions.
