Help Older Adults in Palos Verdes!

Make a REAL difference in your community and in the life of an older adult in Palos Verdes! We are recruiting volunteers to help seniors on the Peninsula with two things: driving and helping with technology related tasks.

Volunteer drivers help by driving seniors to appointments, such as medical appointments, hair appointments, physical therapy, etc. All rides are within a 10 mile radius and volunteers take only the rides that work for them. Round trip rides generally are concluded within 2 hours.

Technology volunteers help with technology related issues like their iPhones, printers, television, and more. These requests take about one or two hours.

Volunteers can volunteer when their schedule permits - with no minimum number of hours needed to complete. We do ask volunteers sign up for a year commitment. Volunteers must be over 21 years old with no criminal background. Drivers must also have a clean driving record.

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Village is a nonprofit dedicated to creating a "community within a community" for older adults living on the Peninsula. We are a vibrant group of people who have joined together for connection, learning, friendship and support. Our mission is to help enhance the quality of life for seniors who continue to live in their own home.
