INKspire is a non-profit organization that strives to empower youth voices by providing a curated web platform where young people can share their ideas and perspectives on various relevant and contemporary issues across Canada and around the world.

Volunteer Description

INKspire is looking for an individual interested in leading our fundraising team in developing sustainable initiatives to support INKspire. The ideal candidate must have exceptional writing skills as well as the ability to bring fresh ideas into the organization.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Lead the fundraising team and work closely with the leadership team to produce effective strategies in delivering and meeting income targets across a range of revenue streams
• Liaise with members of the fundraising team and the leadership team
• Research, write and complete grants that are in line with the organization’s mission and vision
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current initiatives and programmes while developing and delivering new initiatives that build on their successes
• Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders and existing supporters as well as target new supporters to donate to our cause
• Develop new and appropriate fundraising activities and initiatives including but not limited to organizing events and recruitment of individual and corporate sponsors
• Lead fundraising team by:
  • Delegating tasks
  • Organizing regular meetings with team members
  • Manage fundraising activities and initiatives

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience
• Previous experience in working in large teams
• Highly effective interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Experience in designing and writing grants and proposals (asset)
• Experience in creating and organizing events (asset)
• Possesses creative and proficient problem solving skills
• Passionate about youth leadership and empowerment
• Ability to bring innovative thinking and fresh ideas
• Experience in designing and writing grants and proposals (asset)
• Worked or volunteered in a non-profit setting (asset)

Time commitment: 6-8 hours/week
