Descripción
As a volunteer Chef we have various days and times available for this opportunity. Last minute food events are also a possibility. Servings can be for several people or several hundred people.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Share the mission of The Harbor Dish with each new group or individual volunteer or other persons that you may meet.
- Manage Food Service Volunteers, within the kitchen, to achieve the goals of the day; prepping, buffet line set up, cooking, etc.
- Train volunteers on how to serve meals with dignity and to meet our various requirements.
- Ensure safety requirements are followed
- Keep helpers busy with cleaning as you go and clean up
Experience:
- 1-2 years in Food Services with Food Safety Certification; if you do not have your certification, we can help you get it.
- Ability to plan and organize meals with attention to detail.
