Project Coordinator for Wildlife Conservation Organization

    About Pathos Wildlife

Pathos Wildlife is a conservation organization dedicated to protecting wildlife through research, technology, and community-driven conservation initiatives. Our work focuses on supporting rare and understudied species and ecosystems through a combination of field research, collaboration, and science-driven conservation strategy.

We develop and support active conservation projects in partnership with researchers, field teams, and local collaborators, with a strong emphasis on coordination, communication, and long-term project impact.

    Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive volunteer Project Coordinator to support the coordination and day-to-day functioning of one of our active wildlife conservation initiatives.

This role is primarily focused on project organization, team coordination, and operational support. The Project Coordinator will help ensure that people, timelines, communication, and ongoing workstreams are aligned and running smoothly.

This is an administrative and coordination-focused role, not a fieldwork position. The goal is to support the structure and execution of conservation work behind the scenes by keeping the project organized, responsive, and well-coordinated across all contributors.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate operations across an active conservation project
    • Support communication and coordination between researchers, collaborators, and internal team members
    • Help organize meetings, schedules, and project workflows across multiple contributors
    • Maintain clarity across ongoing tasks, priorities, and project timelines
    • Ensure consistent communication flow between field teams and administrative/leadership teams
    • Assist in organizing project materials, updates, and internal documentation for team use
    • Help track progress on ongoing initiatives and ensure follow-ups are completed
    • Act as a central point of coordination for project-related communication and organization
    • Support general administrative tasks related to keeping the project structured and moving forward

    Preferred Skills (But Not Required)

    • Strong organizational and coordination skills
    • Experience in project management, operations, administration, or team coordination
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple moving parts and maintain structured workflows
    • Comfort working with remote teams and multiple collaborators
    • High attention to detail and reliability in follow-through
    • Ability to work independently and proactively solve organizational challenges
    • Interest in wildlife conservation, environmental work, or nonprofit organizations is a plus

    What You’ll Gain

    • Experience supporting real-world wildlife conservation work from an operational perspective
    • Exposure to how conservation projects are structured, coordinated, and managed across teams
    • Hands-on experience in project coordination and organizational leadership support
    • Opportunity to work closely with researchers, field teams, and conservation professionals
    • Insight into nonprofit conservation operations and multi-stakeholder collaboration
    • Meaningful contribution to active conservation efforts supporting wildlife protection

    Time Commitment

This is a flexible, fully remote volunteer position. It is well-suited for early-career professionals, students, or individuals interested in project coordination, nonprofit operations, or conservation support roles. Time commitment can be adjusted based on availability and project needs.
