Volunteer Marketing Specialist

Sankofatech is dedicated to empowering the next generation of technologists of African descent through education, mentorship, and community development. Our flagship program, Achievers in Technology (AIT), provides scholarships, mentorship, and career-building opportunities to underserved youth, equipping them to thrive in the technology industry.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and creative Volunteer Marketing Specialist to help us expand our reach, promote our programs, and engage our community. As part of our team, you’ll play a vital role in creating and executing marketing strategies to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to promote Sankofatech’s programs, events, and initiatives.
• Create engaging content for social media platforms, email campaigns, and the website.
• Assist in designing marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and graphics.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and execute outreach campaigns to recruit program participants and supporters.
• Analyze and report on the performance of marketing efforts and suggest improvements.

Qualifications:

• Experience or interest in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Strong writing and content creation skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
• Creative mindset with an eye for design (experience with Canva or similar tools is a plus).
• Passion for community development and commitment to Sankofatech’s mission.
