Pet Therapy Volunteers and Dove Hospice

Patient care volunteers with therapy dogs provide personal care or emotional support and practical assistance, which enhance the comfort and quality of life for patients and families/caregivers. See the patient's smile as they have the opportunity to visit with the furry friend. Many of the patients at one time had a dog and miss that interaction.

Therapy dogs must have completed their training, be current with all vaccinations and owners will need to go through the volunteer training class.
