The Melody Project is seeking motivated students to serve as Chapter Founders for a growing, youth-led nonprofit focused on reducing loneliness among older adults through intergenerational music and arts programming.
As a Chapter Founder, you will launch and lead a local chapter in your community, partnering with a nearby senior living facility to organize and facilitate weekly sessions. These sessions combine live musical performance, reminiscence-based creative activities, collaborative storytelling, and meaningful intergenerational engagement.

As The Melody Project works in collaboration with postdoctoral researchers, Chapter Founders will also have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing, peer-reviewed research on community-based approaches to healthy aging, gaining exposure to interdisciplinary work at the intersection of public health, neuroscience, and social science.
This position is ideal for students interested in leadership, community service, healthcare, aging, psychology, music, or research. No prior experience is required—just initiative, curiosity, and a passion for making a meaningful impact.
Volunteer hours are provided, and Chapter Founders will receive mentorship and support throughout the process of launching and sustaining their chapter.
