Life Doesn't Have a Remote; Get Up and Change it Yourself!

You and 9 other people are needed to assist local residents who have legal blindness with simple tasks like sorting and reading their mail, getting to the local farmer's market or grocery store, driving to an occasional appointment or just being a good friend to stops in with coffee and a bagel. That's so easy and you don't need a lot of time to make a difference. So hit the reset button and put your time to good use. It's easy.

Requirements to be a great volunteer include:

• a desire to help others;
• a pleasant demeanor;
• a good reading/speaking voice;
• average reading skills;
• organizational or planning abilities;
• a good driving record;
• a clear criminal history;
• two references
• access to a car with proof of insurance;
• a minimum of $50/100k liability and $5,000 of property damage coverage.

Volunteers will be matched within three to five miles of home or work.
